The Big Move...

We're moving...moving back home..to our real home,  and we couldn't get any more excited.  I'm looking forward to a lot of great things to do and see for good.  Our flat now is bordering chaos and most of our clothes and shoes and other stuff are boxed up.  I want to post a lot in this blog but my mind is already wandering off somewhere, hehe.

Can I keep you forever?

Saw this vid from Daphne's blog and I couldn't not share it here.  It's really a tearjerker.  As a hands-on mom to my boys, the words uttered by author Katrina Kenison were really what I have in mind every time I look at my boys and realize that in a few year's time, I have to somehow let them go.

I was particularly moved by the line, "If motherhood teaches us anything, it's that we can't change our children, we can only change ourselves."

awesome...

Being a person who doesn't know a thing about applying make-up except lipstick, I am totally in awe with the skill this girl has...

I don't know how she did it, amazing! haha....

Happy Valentine's Day to all! =)

Toys these days...

To celebrate our firstborn's birthday, we just dined out and searched the mall for his requested gift, beyblades.  I was surprised at the price! and to think you can't buy just a single piece especially if you're just starting out.

These cost SR250.  We couldn't just buy a  piece 'cause it would be useless so we need to buy them in a pack. For a toy, at least in my opinion, I think it's expensive.  For some, they might think the price is just okay.  But for a cheapskate like me, I think it's overpriced.  I could have bought 4-5 pieces of clothing for that price, LOL.  But we could never buy the happiness on our boy's face especially when he planted kisses on his dad's cheek and mine. =)

For moms who don't know what beyblade is, here's their website.

Happy 10th Birthday, Sean Paolo!

 Dearest Pao,

How time flies by so fast and I can't believe I'm staring at your pictures trying to convince myself that you are no longer little.   Since day one you have always made me proud and grateful.   I thank you, anak, for being such a good, responsible and loving child and sibling.  And no matter how big and tall you become, you will always be mommy's baby and first love ever.     I love you so much!

currently liking...

After the ridiculously wallet damaging (LOL) sale craze here in Riyadh, it's time for shops to introduce the latest items this season.  I've already mentioned that I'm loyal to 3 or 4 max brands we frequently see in the malls here and one of them is H&M.  Who wouldn't love it, with it's always on trend styles and affordability plus eco-friendly materials, you could never go wrong.

I didn't know H&M has their own cosmetic line until last month when a friend bought a pack of lip glosses, eye palette and others at an affordable price.
my favorite color palette.  I am in love with those red trousers (available in other colors as well) and what surprised me is that it is priced only at SR49, winner!
Check out their website here for other fab items.

Crocodile Hunt...

No, not a real crocodile but the brand, lol...

Some of our friends bought a bag from Lacoste last August 2011.  I like the bag but not enough for me to really buy one for myself.  More and more friends were convinced to buy the bag especially last 2 weeks ago when it went on sale.  Last Thursday night, one of our couple friends came over and my girl friend was toting another lacoste bag but this time it got me interested because it's colored gray.  So the following day, together with our couple friends (they wanted to show their support for me daw! lol), we headed towards Panorama mall.  Unfortunately, the bags were sold out so we tried to look at their Olaya branch.  We got there just in time for the 6:30 salat (prayer time) and the store was already closed.  We peeked through the glass door and saw only 2 bags but in a different design and no color gray.  We didn't stop there and tried our luck in Hyat Mall only to find out that the Lacoste store there is already closed (we're not sure though if it's undergoing renovation or it's already closed for business).  I'm already feeling frustrated at that time when they decided to go back to Olaya Street.  There were only 2 colors left, navy and black and the staff said the sale ends that day.  It wasn't the design I liked because it's smaller but I figured it's still roomy plus it's cheaper than the one I liked.  The regular price of the bag I wanted was SR600.  My friends got them on sale for SR420.  The one I bought was priced at 540 and the sale price was at SR324.  And guess what, since it's cheaper, I got 2, hehe..
Roll bag.  I bought the 2 remaining colors, black and navy.  Originally priced at SR540 each, I got the navy one for SR324 and the black one for SR282.  I don't know why the black's cheaper.
It's very roomy that I can put all my stuff (read: trash) inside.

Closet Picks...

We have been watching movies almost daily this last week and it feels so good to laugh and bond with just the family.  In as much as I don't want my kids to grow up too fast, I enjoy the fact that they are big enough to joke around with us, and I must say my boys are all hilarious and I love it! =)

Anyway, another week and another outfit post...

Hubby's black shirt
oversized sweater - H&M
leggings from the Philippines
Ballet flats - H&M
watch - Gucci, gold bangle

Those yellow shoes are my favorite pair of flats...I call them my happy shoes because they lift my mood up in an instant.

Do you have your own pair of happy shoes? =)
